1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Contact and account information — name, email address, organization where provided, and account details. Checkout does not require a separate research-use confirmation checkbox.
• Order information — items ordered, billing and shipping address, order history and correspondence.
• Payment information — handled by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card details.
• Technical information — IP address, browser and device information, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the site.
• Visitor identification information — email addresses and visit information supplied through Retention.com, including the page visited and when the visit was observed.

3. How we use it

To create and administer your account; to verify eligibility; to process, dispatch and support your orders; to keep records required for regulatory and payment-processing purposes; to detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and to improve the site.

We also use contact and visit information to send product and catalog follow-up emails. Marketing emails include unsubscribe and email-preference links. You can also contact us to stop marketing emails; necessary order and account messages are separate.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information with providers that help us operate the site, process payments, identify site visitors, measure advertising, deliver email and ship orders. These include Retention.com for visitor identification, Resend for order, account and marketing email, and Google for analytics and, unless you turn advertising off, for advertising measurement, remarketing audiences and personalized advertising. We may disclose information where required by law.

5. Cookies and visitor identification

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function — signing you in, keeping your order, and securing forms. We also use Google Analytics to measure visits, pages, traffic sources, approximate locations, devices, and site interactions. We do not send your name, email, address, account identifier, or payment details to Google Analytics. Google may process analytics data outside your country.

Google Analytics is enabled automatically when you visit the site, unless you use Cookie preferences to turn it off. Your choice is saved for 180 days and can be changed at any time from the Cookie preferences link in the footer. Analytics cookies last up to one year; Google’s data retention setting controls event-level retention. Your browser settings or extensions may also limit analytics requests or cookies. Advertising is on until you turn it off. Google Ads may therefore use your visit to measure whether an advertisement led to an order, to add you to remarketing audiences, and to show you personalized advertising. This includes visits and catalog clicks on shop.kovagen.com and confirmed purchases on kovagen.com. Customer-contact matching is disabled; contact details, addresses, and payment information are not sent to Google. Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer to turn advertising off, or Analytics only to keep measurement without it. Your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal turns advertising off regardless of any saved choice.

We use Retention.com tracking technology to associate site visits with email addresses. This can identify an email address without you entering it on this site. Retention.com may use cookies and similar identifiers for this purpose. We use the resulting contact and visit information for product and catalog follow-up through Resend. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact us to stop these emails.

6. How long we keep it

Account and order records are retained for as long as your account is active and thereafter for the period required for tax, accounting and regulatory purposes. Technical logs are retained for a short period and then deleted.

7. Security

The site is served over TLS, payment card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us, and administrative access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. Contact contact@kovagen.com.

You can change or withdraw your analytics and advertising choices at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer. Withdrawal applies immediately and stops advertising data from being sent on later visits.

9. Children

This site is not directed to anyone under 21 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published here.
