Why do I need an account to order?

At registration you make a research-use declaration and confirm you are acting in a research, academic or commercial laboratory capacity. The exact wording shown to you and the date you accepted it are stored, which is what makes the basis of supply documented rather than assumed.

It is a condition of how we supply, not a marketing gate. Nothing that helps you evaluate the material is behind it: you can read every compound page, look up any lot by its number and read its certificate without registering.

What is and is not behind the account

The line is drawn deliberately, and it is worth being specific about where. Public, with no account: the full catalogue including every compound and every vial size, all compound reference pages, the complete certificate library searchable by lot number, and every guide and policy page. Behind the account: prices, ordering, and your order history.

That split is the opposite of the common pattern, where a site requires registration to see what is sold and publishes evidence only after purchase. Everything needed to evaluate the material — what it is, how it was tested, what the results were — is deliberately on the public side, because information that only appears after payment cannot inform the decision to pay.

Prices sit behind the declaration rather than in front of it because a price is part of an offer to supply, and the offer is conditional on the declaration. That ordering is restricted is a consequence of the supply basis; that the evidence is open is a choice, and it is the one we would want to be judged on.
