How long does shipping take?
Orders are prepared once payment clears, then dispatched within the United States. A tracking reference is emailed when the parcel leaves us. Current dispatch timescales are on the shipping page.
Delivery estimates are estimates rather than guarantees, and title and risk pass on delivery to the carrier.
Parcels travel at ambient temperature, which is appropriate for sealed lyophilized powder and not a compromise. They are not shipped on ice or refrigerated.
Please check your shipping address carefully. Parcels returned to us as undeliverable because of an incorrect address may be reshipped at your cost.
What determines the timeline
Two stages, and they behave differently. Preparation happens after payment clears and is within our control: the order is picked, checked against the lots being supplied, and packed with the seal and desiccant intact. Transit is the carrier's, and it is the stage where estimates are estimates — weather, network congestion and the destination's remoteness all move it, and none of those are visible to us in advance.
The dispatch email marks the boundary between the two. Once it arrives with a tracking reference, the carrier's own tracking is a better source of information about where the parcel is than anything we can tell you, since we are reading the same feed.
If a parcel is delayed in transit, the material's tolerance for ambient conditions is the reason this is an inconvenience rather than a problem. Sealed, desiccated lyophilized powder does not have a short window in which it must arrive, which is why we do not ship on ice and why an extra day in a depot is not a reason to be concerned about the contents.
