Klow Blend: structure and analysis
What it is
A four-compound blend supplied in a single vial: GHK-Cu at 50 mg, TB-500 at 10 mg, BPC-157 at 10 mg and KPV at 10 mg. The notation 50/10/10/10mg gives each component's mass in that order.
It is the Glow Blend composition with KPV added, and it has the most components of any product in this catalogue.
The chemistry spans a copper-complexed tripeptide, a plain tripeptide, a 15-residue peptide and a 43-residue peptide — a wide range within one vial.
How it is produced
Supplied as a blend: the named components are combined and co-lyophilized into a single vial, with the mass of each component stated. The components are produced separately and characterised before combination.
This changes the analytical question. For a single compound, purity asks what share of the detected material was the target. For a blend there are several targets, and what matters is whether each named component is present at its stated mass — per-component identification and quantitation rather than one purity percentage.
Confirming identity
Four independent identity confirmations are required. GHK-Cu needs both a sequence confirmation and a copper content result; the other three need mass confirmation against their expected values.
The two tripeptides in the vial — GHK and KPV — are the pair requiring most care, since both are three residues and both are small and polar, so they are closer to one another chromatographically than any other pair here.
Analytical considerations
Four components means four separate quantitation determinations, and the more components a vial has, the more ways a per-component result can be incomplete. This is the most demanding analytical subject in the catalogue on that basis alone.
Resolving two different tripeptides from each other, from a 15-residue peptide, from a 43-residue peptide, and each from its own impurities, in one method, is a genuine method-development problem rather than a routine assay.
The copper complex adds the same chromatographic considerations it does in Glow Blend, and storage conditions remain set by the least stable component.
What its certificate reports
A certificate for a lot of this material names the lot, names the issuing laboratory, and states for each parameter both the method used and the specification the result was measured against. Identity and purity are the two core results; net peptide content states how much of the fill weight is actually peptide.
A certificate belongs to a lot, not to a product line. When a new lot is released it is tested again, and the certificate published against it is that lot's certificate — a previous lot's result is never carried forward.
